Kojima is also home to Momotaro Jeans, a Japanese denim brand that is devoted to providing high quality handmade jeans for its customers.

Momotaro Jeans uses only the best natural raw materials and dyes the cotton yarn with natural indigo blue to weave the Original Momotaro denim using its vintage weaving machines, and all this by hand. After some weeks of hard work and a lot of help of some friends the Madeira Drive is open for business again. We moved to a new location nearby to Düsseldorf centre and got some parking space for our customers now.
The offical opening party will be on Saturday 14th of January. Hope we´ll gonna see you.

Pace / Blue Highway Limited Edition

We are proud to announce that we were able to get some of the last limited Pace / Blue Highway raw denim jackets.
We believe these are the only ones which are for sale in Germany at the moment.

This special limited edition collection, Pace cooperating with the denim nerds and bloggers Blue highway.
Blue highway made by hand two samples for Pace: one jeans and one jacket. They gave them the task to make this collection with our grandpa as inspiration. Their grand father left Sweden early 1900. Grand pa Erik and his brother lived in the Us for a couple of years digging gold in telluride in Colorado.
Blue highway Hampus and Douglas designed the jeans and jacket as if Pace was founded in 1890. That year the patent for rivets was over and all the jeans brand were allowed to use rivets to fasten for ex. Pockets. At that time jeans brand were used to fasten pockets and other with seams in a smart way, therefore Pace collection is both made with rivets and other ways of fasten for an example the cinch back.
Other time typical details is on the jacket: one pocket, watch pocket, rivet mounted, plated front, cinch back lined with linen , 29” inch vintage loom fabric (Japanese), donut buttons. The jeans has also only one back pocket and a chinse.

The products will come in a special denim bag and they will be numbered by hand of Douglas and Hampus (jacket 1-84)

The typical PACE denim is made in traditional vintage way on original shuttle looms and comes from small mills around Osaka, Japan. The denim is a right hand twill, ring spun in warp and weft. It’s unique in look and feeling. Using significant details such as split side seams, chainstiching on hem, tab and patch in real leather, buttons have a gearwheel logo in steel finish, zippers in antique copper from the classic brand YKK, strengthened pocket openings on all models, rivets in real genuine copper. All denims are pre-shrunk.

Eat Dust is a denim motorcycle inspirated brand but not "just" another denim brand :

1) It's an european brand from Belgium, not asian crap made with "hot needle"!!!!! You guys know what I mean.

2) They just use high quality fabrics like a Kurabo 131/4OZ double ring indigo blue selvage denim or dead stock of wool coming from the Belgian Army.

3) The two Guys behind Eat Dust are for a long time in the denim industry so they know what they're talking about. They are also real "hardcore" motorcycles drivers and not "pussies"

4) It's not one more replicas denim brand but a brand who takes inspiration in the motorcycles world and the denim archives but with a vision of the needs and the fits of today.

So for all those reasons, I am very proud to announce that from January 2011, Eat Dust will be part of the Madeira Drive offer.
